Recipe Ingredients for Herbed tomato sauce

14 1/2 oz tomatoes, canned diced low sodium
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1/3 onion, chopped
2 teaspoons dried basil
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil

Recipe Directions for Herbed tomato sauce

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender, and puree until smooth.

  2. Transfer to a non-reactive saucepan and simmer over medium low heat 10 minutes.
