Recipe Ingredients for Herbed Peas

3/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
1/3 cup butter
6 cups frozen peas, thawed
3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
3 tsp dried basil
1 teaspoon sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Recipe Directions for Herbed Peas

  1. In a large skillet, saute onions in butter until tender. Stir in the peas, parsley, basil, sugar, salt and pepper; saute for 3 minutes.

  2. Reduce heat; cover and cook 3-5 minutes longer or until peas are tender. Serve with a slotted spoon.

  3. Yield: 8 servings.
