Recipe Ingredients for Herbed Chicken Bake

6 ounces Long Grain and Wild Rice
1 1/2 pounds chicken breasts, boned and halved lengthwise
1/4 cup butter or margarine
10 1/2 ounce Condensed Soup Cream of Chicken
6 ounces white wine
1/2 cup diced celery
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms

Recipe Directions for Herbed Chicken Bake

  1. Prepare/cook rice mix

  2. Season chicken with salt and pepper

  3. In skillet, brown slowly in butter

  4. Preheat oven to 350

  5. Spoon cooked rice into 1.5 quart casserole

  6. Place chicken on top of rice, skin side up. Leave juices in skillet.

  7. Add soup to skillet

  8. Slowly add wine, stirring until smooth

  9. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil

  10. Pour over chicken

  11. Bake covered at 350 for 25 minutes

  12. Uncover and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until tender
