Yummy applesauce made with apple cinnamon spice tea instead of water. You could use any tea, I want to try chai tea next! yummm! You could easily reduce or completely cut out the sweetener in this recipe for a lower amount of calories.

Recipe Ingredients for Herbal Applesauce

2 apples, chopped
2 tbsp syrup
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp allspice
1 pinch salt
4 tbsp herbal tea

Recipe Directions for Herbal Applesauce

  1. Add All ingredients to a saucepan.

  2. Heat on medium and bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.

  3. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes, then remove from heat, mush it if you like and enjoy!
