A quick easy way to make healthy homemade bread. Adapted from The Optimum Nutrition Cookbook.

Recipe Ingredients for Herb Scofa Bread

225 g whole-grain wheat flour
1/8 tsp salt
3 tsp baking powder
150 ml milk
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp caraway seeds
1 tsp dried tarragon

Recipe Directions for Herb Scofa Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 220C or 425F.

  2. Sift all the dry ingredients into a large bowl. Grind in some black pepper.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine the milk and oil. Add this to the dry ingredients and combine to form a soft dough.

  4. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into a circle about 15 cm (6inch) in diameter. Score gently into 6 triangles, taking care not to cut all the way through.

  5. Bake for around 15mins until golden brown and risen.
