Whole wheat lasagne, lightened up a bit.

Recipe Ingredients for Heather Leigh's Traditional Whole Wheat Lasagne

8 oz dry Whole Wheat Lasagne Noodles, approximately 12 sheets
1 lb ground beef
8 servings Fat Free Ricotta Cheese, approximately 16 oz
6 cups Crushed Tomatos
4 servings shredded mozzerella cheese, approximately 1 cup
3 teaspoons Italian seasonings

Recipe Directions for Heather Leigh's Traditional Whole Wheat Lasagne

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (f).

  2. Brown ground beef, drain.

  3. Add crushed tomatos and 2 teaspoons of Italian seasonings, warm.

  4. In a seperate container, mix ricotta cheese with 1 teaspoon Italian seasonings.

  5. In a 13x9 baking dish, or two 8x8 baking dishes, alternately layer pasta, ricotta mixture, and tomato/meat mixture. After all layers are completed, sprinkle with mozzerella.

  6. Bake 45-60 minutes.

  7. Remove, let sit for at least 5 minutes before cutting.
