8 oz butter
10 1/2 oz marshmallow
20 cups cereal, puffed rice

  1. Line a 13x9 cake pan with parchment paper or plastic wrap. Leave a good edge around the pan for easy removal.

  2. Melt butter in a large pan (I used my biggest stew pot) over medium high heat. It will foam and then turn brown. Stir occasionally at the beginning, constantly the browner it gets. When it turns a deep brown amber color and smells nutty...

  3. Add the whole 10.5 oz bag of marshmallows. Stir into butter. Stir until the mallows are melted and smooth. Cook until the mixture is a brown color, then...

  4. Add the 12 oz package of puffed rice cereal.

  5. Mix until the cereal is coated.

  6. Put mixture into pan, and press (make sure you have clean hands) until the mixture is packed and even.

  7. Cool for about an hour. Turn out onto another pan, cutting board, or other solid, clean "cut-able" surface.

  8. Cut into 20 pieces (3 cuts on the 9 inch side and 4 on the 13 inch side).
