Recipe Ingredients for hearty Italian style soup

46 1/2 oz Cooking Stock
2 c shredded cabbage
14 1/2 oz can tomatoes
2 carrots
1/2 t celery seed
1/2 medium onion
1 T parsley
1/4 t garlic salt
1/4 t pepper
14 1/2 oz Beans, White, Mature Seeds, Canned
5 Potatoes
1 t italian seasoning
167 g wheat berries

Recipe Directions for hearty Italian style soup

  1. saute onion, celery, and carrot until onion is translucent.

  2. Add broth, tomatoes, seasonings, and rice. Boil until rice cracks, about an hour.

  3. Add remaining ingredients and cook until cabbage is to desired tenderness.

  4. Serve w/crusty bread and/or cheese topping.
