this is really fun and really easy to make. absolutely no bake dessert. i used whatever i have in my cupboard. a little bit of this and that and voila! not to mention that it is healthy too!

Recipe Ingredients for Hearty Chocolate Truffles

4 tbsp applesauce, unsweetened
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp honey
2 tsp cocoa powder, heaped
4 tbsp ovaltine
1 tbsp coffee-mate powder
3 tbsp oat
1 tbsp oat bran
1/2 tbsp lime juice
21 g nestle breakfast cereal

Recipe Directions for Hearty Chocolate Truffles

  1. Combine applesauce (i made my own using a medium sized apple) and cinnamon in a bowl.

  2. Add cocoa powder and honey. Mix well.

  3. Add the rest of the ingredients or u can omit the coffee-mate.

  4. The mixture should be thick and almost cake like.

  5. Drop teaspoonfuls into dessicated coconut, oat bran, nuts or absolutely anything to cover up the balls. (i used oat bran mix with instant cereal powder)

  6. Chill in the fridge or serve immediately & enjoy!

  7. P/s: the lime juice made it more delicious.
