Recipe Ingredients for Hearty Baked Beans with Healthy Modifications

1 lb Ground Turkey Breast
1 pound Turkey bacon
2 cups onions, chopped
1 tbsp. liquid smoke (very necessary for true smoky Idaho flavor)
2 tbsp. White Wine Vinegar
1/8 cup Honey
14 1/2 ounce baked beans
29 ounce red kidney beans, rinse and drain
14 1/2 ounce white beans, rinse and drain
2 cups Tomatoes, diced
1 tsp. Sea Salt
1/4 tsp. Black Pepper

Recipe Directions for Hearty Baked Beans with Healthy Modifications

  1. 1. Brown hamburger and onion.

  2. 2. Drain.

  3. 3. Dice bacon and brown.

  4. 4. Drain.

  5. 5. Meanwhile, mix remaining ingredients in a very large bowl.

  6. 6. Stir in bacon and hamburger and mix well.

  7. 7. Pour into an 11x15 pan (it will boil over in a 9x13).

  8. 8. Cover with foil and bake at 325 for 2 hours.
