This recipe is from Diabetes for Canadians for Dummies. I have adapted it to be used for a gluten free diet. I used liquid Stevia instead of Splenda but the program didn't recognise Stevia.

Recipe Ingredients for Heart Smart Biscuits

4 cups brown rice flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp splenda
1 1/2 cups plain low fat yogurt
1/2 cup sunflower oil
1 egg
1/2 cup 2 % milk

Recipe Directions for Heart Smart Biscuits

  1. Preheat oven to 400*F.

  2. Combine dry ingredients and mix well.

  3. In separate bowl mix yogurt, oil, egg and milk.

  4. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients.

  5. Gently combine with fork, do not overmix.

  6. Pat dough on a floured surface.

  7. Cut out 24 medium biscuits.

  8. Place on a baking sheet, bake for 15 to 20 mim.
