Whole wheat pancakes with oatmeal...you can add fruit if you like...just don't forget to include that in your counts.

Recipe Ingredients for Healthy Whole Wheat pancakes

1/2 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. melted butter
1 egg
2/3 c. whole wheat flour
1/3 cup wheat bran
1/2 cup Old-fashioned Oatmeal
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

Recipe Directions for Healthy Whole Wheat pancakes

  1. Have milk at room temperature.

  2. Beat milk, butter and eggs lightly.

  3. Mix flour, soda, sugar and salt. Add to milk mixture.

  4. Stir just enough to dampen flour.

  5. Makes 20 pancakes.
