healthy alternative to eggos. high fiber, good protien. you could throw out 2 egg yolks to lower the fat if you want.

Recipe Ingredients for healthy waffles

1/2 c bran, oat
1/2 c wheat germ
1 1/2 c whole wheat flour
3/4 c flax, ground
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 c skim milk
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp vanilla
3 eggs
2 tbsp sugar

Recipe Directions for healthy waffles

  1. mix dry

  2. mix milk, lemon juice (or use buttermilk), vanilla and egg yolks.

  3. whip whites until stiff, add sugar.

  4. mix wet into dry until just incorporated

  5. fold in egg whites

  6. makes 14 waffles.
