These basic waffles have very little net carbs (8.8), are high in protein, and high in fiber (great for diabetics).

Recipe Ingredients for Healthy Waffles 1 - Basic

6 egg whites
1 teaspoon canola oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/4 cup Blanched Almond Flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon baking soda

Recipe Directions for Healthy Waffles 1 - Basic

  1. Use a blender to blend wet ingredients - eggs, canola oil, and vanilla till mixture froths.

  2. Blend in rest of dry ingredients until smooth.

  3. Preheat a waffle iron, and coat with cooking spray.

  4. Pour batter into waffle iron in batches, and cook until crisp and golden brown.
