If you take out the lentils this is virtually a "free food" One can add any vegies one wants but too much broccoli or cabbage makes this a little potent after a couple of reheats. I usually eat less than 1/4 of this at a sitting, but calorie wise its better, if you add a bread or a potato one can eat a smaller quantity and stoill get adequate calories for a meal

Recipe Ingredients for Healthy Survival soup

32 ounces low sodium chicken broth
8 ounces v-8 juice
3 carrots
2 stalk,+medium+7-1/2"+-+8"+long celery
15 asparagus spears
67 g kale leaves, chopped
1 medium onion
1 garlic clove
2 tbsp,+crumbled bay leaves
7 fresh basil leaves
56 g Steamed Broccoli Spears
1 small zuchini
6 ounces french lentils
