Healthy Spaghetti with ground turkey and whole wheat pasta

Recipe Ingredients for Healthy Spaghetti

16 oz Ground Turkey
6 oz Healthy Harvest Thin Spaghetti
3 tbsp Olive Oil
2 medium Green Bell Pepper
1 onion Yellow Onion
3 clove Garlic
23 oz Heart Smart Traditional Italian Sauce

Recipe Directions for Healthy Spaghetti

  1. Sweat (low heat) the bell peppers & onions in the olive oil in a heavy dutch oven pot until onions are translucent

  2. Add garlic and continue cooking for 2 minutes (garlic burns easily)

  3. Add 1 pound of ground turkey and increase heat to medium high

  4. Cook only until turkey is brown (do not overcook)

  5. Add 1 jar of Heart Smart Italian sauce

  6. Simmer on low heat for at least one hour

  7. In a pot, bring water to a boil and cook pasta according to package directions

  8. Strain pasta and toss with 1/2 cup of the sauce. (flavors pasta)

  9. Serve and enjoy!
