This is a family favorite in our house. It's pretty much awesome.

Recipe Ingredients for Healthy Skillet American Chop Suey

1 lb Ground Turkey
2 tbls Vegetable Oil
1 large Onion, Diced
1 Green Bell Pepper, Chopped
1 stalk Celery, Chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cups Low Sodium Chicken Broth
15 oz Tomato Sauce
14 1/2 oz Diced Tomatoes
8 oz Barilla Plus Elbows

Recipe Directions for Healthy Skillet American Chop Suey

  1. Add 1 tbls oil to a large skillet over medium high heat. Brown Turkey, and remove from skillet.

  2. Add remaining oil, over med. high heat, then add Onion, Bell Pepper, and Celery. Cook until just soft.

  3. Add garlic, and cook until fragrant, about a minute.

  4. Add Chicken Broth, Tomato Sauce, Diced Tomatoes with their liquid, Elbows, and Ground Turkey to skillet.

  5. Bring to boil, cover, reduce heat to medium low, and cook, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes, or until pasta is tender.
