Healthy & hearty snack...and yummy too!

Recipe Ingredients for Healthy Oatmeal Cookies

1/2 c. Flour
1/4 c. Whole Wheat Flour
1/2 t. Baking Soda
1/2 t. Cinnamon
1/4 t. Ground Nutmeg
1/4 t. salt
1/2 c. Brown Sugar
1 egg
2 T. Applesauce
1/4 c. Wheat germ
1 1/2 c. Oats

Recipe Directions for Healthy Oatmeal Cookies

  1. Mix flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a bowl and set aside.

  2. In another bowl cream brown sugar, egg, and applesauce (Canola oil may be substituted for applesauce...use just a bit more if using oil.).

  3. Add dry ingredients to wet mixture. Mix well. Then mix in wheat germ & oats.

  4. Roll into balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Cook for 8-10 minutes at 350. Makes about 12 cookies.
