Modified Quaker Oatmeal cookies using applesauce instead of of vegetable shortening, egg beaters vs egg

Recipe Ingredients for Healthy Oatmeal Cookies w/Pecans

3/4 c applesauce
1/2 c firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c sugar
1/4 c egg beaters
1 tsp vanilla
3 c oats, uncooked
1 c all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 c pecans

Recipe Directions for Healthy Oatmeal Cookies w/Pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat together applesauce, sugars, egg beater, and vanilla until creamy. Add combined remaining ingredients mix well. drop by rounded teapoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350F for 12 to 15 minutes. (For variety add chopped nuts or raisins.) Makes five dozen cookies.
