Healthy, chewy breakfast bars with all natural whole ingredients and no butter, oil or refined sugar.

Recipe Ingredients for Healthy Oatmeal Banana Breakfast Bars

3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 pinch salt
1 1/4 cup oats
1/3 cup dried dates
1 1/2 cup mashed banana
1 egg
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cardamom
1/2 cup walnuts
1/2 cup shredded coconut
1 oz unsweetened chocolate

Recipe Directions for Healthy Oatmeal Banana Breakfast Bars

  1. Combine flour, salt, baking soda and spices in a bowl and set aside.

  2. In a food processor puree dates, and mashed bananas.

  3. In the bowl of electric mixer, combine banana mixture, egg, vanilla and mix on medium speed until smooth.

  4. On low speed, add dry mixture.

  5. Fold in oats, coconut and chocolate.

  6. Press into a greased 9x9 baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until tested and done.

  7. Cool and cut into 12 squares.
