Recipe Ingredients for Healthy Maryland Cream Waffles

1 3/4 cup White Whole Wheat Flour
1/4 tablespoon Kretschmer Wheat Germ, Regular
1/4 tbsp Milled Flax Seed
60 g Tab Original Raw Chia Seeds
1 serving Baking Powder
2 tsp unpacked Sugars, Brown
2 tsp unpacked Sugars, Brown
2 large Egg, White
1 3/4 cup Milk, Lowfat, Fluid, 1% Milkfat
1/2 cup Butter
1 tbsp Cinnamon, Ground

Recipe Directions for Healthy Maryland Cream Waffles

  1. In a bowl by themselves, beat egg whites until they form stiff peaks and set aside.

  2. Put all the dry ingredients in a separate bowl and set aside. Mix egg yolks with the milk, then add, melted butter, and blend in the dry ingredients.

  3. Fold in egg whites. Heat waffle iron, use 2/3 cup per 4 waffle squares.

  4. Can be made ahead and placed in freezer.
