Simple, easy, homemade vegetable soup. Simmer in a crock pot for care free cooking, or cook on the stove top in about 40 minutes. My family likes this served with a grilled cheese sandwich.

Recipe Ingredients for Healthy Homemade Vegetable Soup

8 oz frozen peas, white acre
8 oz frozen corn
8 oz frozen carrots
8 oz frozen lima beans, petite
8 oz frozen peas, sweet,petite
8 oz frozen green beans, italian
8 oz fresh cabbage
8 oz pork tenderloin
1 cup pork broth
1 cup uncooked brown rice
6 cups water
26 oz tomato sauce
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp marjoram
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp rosemary

Recipe Directions for Healthy Homemade Vegetable Soup

  1. Use left over slow roasted(crock pot cooked) pork, beef or chicken and 1 cup broth.

  2. In place of tomato sauce, you can use a 26 oz can of your favorite spaghetti sauce.

  3. Mix all ingredients in a large pot and simmer until the rice and vegetables are done.
