Yummy but not too sweet granola bars.

Recipe Ingredients for Healthy Granola Bars

2 1/2 cups oats
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
2 1/2 tbsp ground flaxseed
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup applesauce, unsweetened
1/4 cup honey
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup shredded coconut
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup sliced natural almonds
1/2 cup raisins

Recipe Directions for Healthy Granola Bars

  1. Preheat oven to 325 F

  2. Lightly grease 9 x 13" pan

  3. In large mixing bowl, combine oats, flour, baking soda and flaxseed.

  4. In another bowl, combine vanilla, applesauce, honey and brown sugar, mixing well.

  5. Stir the wet mixture into the dry mixture, then add coconut, nuts and dried fruit.

  6. Lightly press mixture into the pan, filling up entire pan.

  7. Bake for about 20 minutes.

  8. Let cool for 10 minutes, then cut into 16 or 24 bars.

  9. Let bars cool completely in pan before removing.

  10. Freeze extra bars and thaw to use as needed.
