6 oz Fettuccine
8 oz Large Shrimp
1 cup Peas, Green
0.5 tbsp Unsalted Butter
12 grams Cornstarch
1 tsp Nutmeg
6 fl oz Organic Low Sodium Chicken Broth
0.5 oz Parmesan, Shredded Cheese

Recipe Directions for Healthy Fettuccini Alfredo with Shrimp

  1. bring a large pot of water to boil. add the fettucini and cook according to package. in the last few minutes of cooking, add the shrimp and peas and cook until shrimp is pink; drain.

  2. while the pasta is cooking, melt butter in a large nonstick saute pan over medium heat. add the garlic and cook until it's fragrant, about 2 minutes.

  3. meanwhile, combine the cornstarch and nutemeg in small bowl. whisk in the chickn brother until smooth. pour the mixture into the saute pan, raise the heat, and bring the sauce to a simmer, whisking occasionally. whisk in 1/4 cup of the cheese until it has melted. remove the saute pan from the heat and whisk in the yogurt until the sauce is smooth.

  4. in large bowl, toss the cooked fettuccine, shrimp, and peas with the sauce. saason with salt and pepper is desired. top the psata with the remaining 1/4 cup cheese, and serve.
