1/2 c lentils
3/4 c rice
1 c carrots
3 c celery
1 c onion
1 T cumin

Recipe Directions for Healthy Easy Rice & Lentils

  1. Also include garlic (fresh or dried), 1T olive oil (good fat, flavor).

  2. Chop all veg, place all in slow cooker w/3.5-5 c water (or fat/sodium free chicken broth), cook for 3 hours.

  3. Try lemon wedge garnish (flavor?)
