This basic muffin base can have any mixture of mix-ins added to it to make it. Just make the basic mix, Dry ingredients, wet ingredients milk, egg and applesauce (or oil) can be mixes with, banana & nuts, lemon & blueberries, or any other combination you can imagine.

Recipe Ingredients for Healthy Cinnamon Muffins + Flavor of your Choice

2 cups flour
1/2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking powder
1 cup skim milk
1 egg
1/2 cup applesauce
1 small apple
1/4 cup walnuts, chopped

Recipe Directions for Healthy Cinnamon Muffins + Flavor of your Choice

  1. Sift dry ingredients, mix well.

  2. Mix wet ingredients.

  3. Fold Wet and Dry together. Fold in "Mix Ins"

  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
