A Chili packed full of nutritious goodness

Recipe Ingredients for Healthy Chili

28 oz canned tomatoes
2 medium green peppers
1 cup carrots
2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
14 oz kidney beans
1 cup frozen peas
2 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 medium onion
2 tsp canola oil
3 cloves garlic
590 grams raw chicken breast

Recipe Directions for Healthy Chili

  1. Roast chicken. Cut into cubes. Put aside. Sweat out onions in canola oil. Add garlic.

  2. In a large pot add tomatoes, kidney beans, carrots, spices, cooked onions/ garlic and chicken. Let simmer until almost ready to serve. Add green peppers and frozen peas. Allow to cook for 10 minutes. Serve.
