This method of making chicken salad will produce a crisp, crunchy, and creamy sandwich that is a healthy tangy recipe! Just make sure you choose a lower sugar Barbecue sauce (personally I like to use an organic BBQ Ketchup that I have found it is delicious) Enjoy

Recipe Ingredients for Healthy Chicken Salad

1 chicken Breast, diced
1/3 cup apple, diced
1/4 cup walnuts, diced
1 egg white, diced
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp bbq sauce
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper

Recipe Directions for Healthy Chicken Salad

  1. Use cooked chicken breast (Please use real not canned here) To cook a chicken breast on 400 degrees in a casserole dish or broiling pan with the lid on (Keeps it moist) in the oven for 20 minutes, until cooked all the way through, which means the juice runs clear.

  2. Dice one cooked Chicken breast into small shredded chunks, place in a bowl.

  3. Cut an apple (I like Honey Crisp apples!) into small chunks the size of your fingernail. Place together with chicken

  4. Take one hard boiled egg, if you do not have a hard boiled egg handy-put one in a pot until it boils turn the stove off ten minutes and it will be done. When cooked, peel remove yolk and dice into small pieces add to the bowl

  5. Add Mayo, bbq sauce, salt and pepper mix to taste

  6. Place bowl in fridge for 30 minutes to chill, or 10 minutes in freezer, serve with a slice of stone ground wheat bread and you've got yourself a tasty meal, enjoy
