Recipe Ingredients for Healthy Breakfast Shake or Snack Alternative

1 medium Banana
1 medium raw Carrots
0.5 cup Oats, Regular And Quick And Instant, Unenriched
1.5 cup Milk, Nonfat, Fluid
1 medium apple Apples
1 cup Mixed Berries
0.5 cup Spinach

Recipe Directions for Healthy Breakfast Shake or Snack Alternative

  1. I use a 1,000 watt Ninja NJ600 because it has multiple blades and makes easy work of the fruits and veggies

  2. Blend the oats first in the dry blender with the object being to get them to a flour like consistency or however fine you can get them.

  3. Add all other ingredients, chunking the apple and carrot into 1/2 or thirds and blend to desired consistency.

  4. Add ice as you like and blend.

  5. Shake will be thick and somewhat grainy. If this bothers you, you can cook the oats first in water according to package directions using no salt.
