a modified bread pudding recipe. you can use any type of bread.

Recipe Ingredients for healthy bread pudding

2 Seattle International French Hoagie Rolls
1/4 cup applesauce
2 apples
1/4 cup raisins
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/6 cup orange juice
1 3/4 cup low fat milk
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon

Recipe Directions for healthy bread pudding

tear up bread (any kind of bread), enough bread for 5-7 cups and put in a mixing bowl. add cinnamon, vanilla, and 2 beaten eggs. in a sauce pan mix brown sugar, milk, sliced/peeled apples, raisins, orange juice and applesauce. i also added 12 splenda packets for extra sweetness. simmer for 10 minutes till apples get soft. then add this mixture to the bread mixture and mix gently. spray pam on your 9x13 baking dish and dump the mixture in. bake at 350 degrees fahrenheit for about 40 minutes. eat cold or warm. you can eat with fat free cool whip for a special treat.
