This is a healthier alternative to the boiled cookies my mom made for us as kids. I love how easy they are to make and how rich and filling they are.

Recipe Ingredients for Healthy Boiled Chocolate Oat Cookies

60 grams Aria Women's Protein
1/4 cup water
1 cup Dark Amber Maple Syrup or Agave Syrup
1/4 cup Butter without salt
3/4 cup Milk, nonfat
1/2 cup cocoa, dry powder, unsweetened
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups rolled oats

Recipe Directions for Healthy Boiled Chocolate Oat Cookies

  1. Dissolve 6 level scoops of protein powder in 1/4 cup of water, it should be the consistency of peanut butter. Set aside. Heat Syrup, butter, milk, cocoa and salt in pot. Bring to boil and then continue to boil for 3 minutes. Stir to avoid scorching. Remove from heat. Add protein powder mixture and oats. Stir until combined. Using Tablespoons, drop onto wax paper and let stand for at least 1 hour. Consistency should be fudge-like.

  2. Serving size assumes 40 cookies and 2 cookies per serving.

  3. Protein powder can be found at Trader Joe's. Peanut butter can be substituted for higher fat content.
