Recipe Ingredients for Healthy Banana Bread

1/2 cup applesauce,unsweetened
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 cup egg substitute
1/2 c. white flour
1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1 t. baking soda
1 T. lemon juice
4 small bananas, mashed
2 T. wheat germ
1/2 t. cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Healthy Banana Bread

Cream applesauce and sugar well. Add egg substitute and beat again. Sift flours and baking soda, wheat germ and cinnamon together. Add dry mixture to creamed mixture. Stir in lemon juice, and mashed bananas. Mix only until batter is lumpy. Pour batter into a greased 95x3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, remove bread from pan and finish cooling on a rack. Bake two small loaves 35-40 minutes or 18 muffins for 18-22 minutes.
