Recipe Ingredients for healthy apple berry crumble

1/3 cup whole wheat pastry flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup Natural Cane Sugar
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/3 cup Apple Sauce Unsweetened Organics
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/3 cup Natural cane sugar
3 1/2 cup chopped apples
1/2 cup blackberries
1 tsp cinnamon

Recipe Directions for healthy apple berry crumble

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F with rack in middle of oven. Butter a baking dish {roughly 8 inches}.

  2. For the crumble, whisk together flour, oats, sugar, and salt in a bowl.

  3. Use a fork to stir apple sauce. Divide mixture into 3 patties.

  4. Place the patties in a bowl and freeze for about 10 minutes.

  5. For the filling, whisk together cornstarch and sugar in a bowl. Add

  6. the fruit and toss to evenly coat. Let sit for 3 minutes.

  7. Transfer the filling to baking dish. Remove topping from freezer and

  8. crumble it over filling.

  9. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, until topping is golden and fruit juices are

  10. bubbling. Let cool a bit before serving.

  11. enjoy topped with greek yogurt, ice cream, frozen yogurt or even have it the next day.
