Recipe Ingredients for Healthier French Toast

327 g whole wheat pane integral
8 large eggs
8 large egg whites
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp cinnamon
1/3 cup maple syrup
2 cups 1% milk
2 cups blueberries
4 tbsp brown sugar
1/3 cup sliced almonds

Recipe Directions for Healthier French Toast

  1. Spray 13X9X2 baking pan with pam.

  2. Cut bread into small chunks and line pan with single layer.

  3. In a large bowl combine the eggs and egg yolks and whisk. Add the cinnamon, milk, vanilla and maple sugar and continue whisking until combined.

  4. Pour egg mixture over bread.

  5. Top mixture with blueberries, brown sugar and almonds.

  6. Cover and store overnight in the refrigerator.

  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 min and enjoy!
