You can use whole wheat flour and it'll reduce the calories by maybe 5 or so. They're more cakelike cookies, which I like. If you get a cookie without a lot of chocolate chips, you can taste a hint of the banana, but it's still good. If you get a lot of chocolate chips, you really can't taste the difference. Still trying to find a good substitute for brown sugar.

Recipe Ingredients for Healthier Chocolate Chip cookies

3/4 cup dry oats
1 cup white flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup mashed banana
1/8 cup canola oil
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 1/2 tbsp. honey
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1/2 cup chocolate chips

Recipe Directions for Healthier Chocolate Chip cookies

Puree oats in blender. Add dry ingredients. Cream together wet ingredients separately. Add dry to wet, then add chocolate chips. 350 degrees for about 15 minutes.
