Recipe Ingredients for Healthier 15 Bean Soup

1 serving With Seasoning Packet Original 15 Bean Soup
1 cup, chopped Onions
1 tsp Chili Powder
2 clove Garlic
16 oz Pork, Cured, Ham, Whole

Recipe Directions for Healthier 15 Bean Soup

Soak beans over night or at least 8 hours, Drain, Add 2 qts water and diced ham, Bring to a boil, Reduce heat and simmer for 2.5, hrs, Then add the rest of the ingredients, Simmer additional 30 min., Add seasoning in the last few minutes of cooking time. To cut down on sodium and additives leave out the packaged seasoning mix and add salt and pepper to taste.
