Recipe Ingredients for Hamburger Soup

486 g lean ground beef
2 cup carrots, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 large red bell pepper
0.66 cup ketchup
1 1/2 cup low-sodium vegetable broth
28 oz whole tomatoes, canned
1 1/2 cup dry macaroni

Recipe Directions for Hamburger Soup

  1. In a medium pot, cook the meat in water until well cooked. As you prepare the vegetables, add them to the pot.

  2. Once the vegetable are becoming softer, about 10-15 minutes, add the ketchup, tomatoes and the broth. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat.

  3. Let simmer until the soup is hot and the carrots almost tender. Add the pasta and heat until they are cooked.
