Recipe Ingredients for hamburger packets

1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1 egg
1/2 cup bread crumbs
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
2 tsp black pepper
4 potatoes
2 large onions
1 cooking spray

Recipe Directions for hamburger packets

  1. heat oven to 350 F.

  2. mix beef, egg, bread crumbs, and spices. form into 4 patties.

  3. pull sheets of heavy aluminum foil twice as long as the foil is wide, fold in half. make one double sheet for each packet.

  4. to assemble packets, slice one potato into rounds. spray foil with cooking spray. imagine dividing the foil in half on the diagonal. place potato slices on foil on one half of the diagonal. spray with cooking spray. place meat patty on top of potato slices.

  5. fold the foil over, corner to corner. crimp edges all the way around, making sure to seal the foil tightly. leave about an inch space around the food. repeat process, making four packets.

  6. place on baking sheet and bake for around an hour and a half.

  7. serve!
