Recipe Ingredients for Ham, Swiss, and Shallot Pizza

16 oz Trader Joes Whole Wheat Pizza Dough
2 serving VIGO EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
4 tbsp chopped Shallots
2 tsp Thyme, Fresh
8 oz Ham, Sliced, Extra Lean
2 oz Swiss Cheese
0.25 tsp Pepper, Black
0.25 tsp Salt, Table
1 tbsp Cornmeal

Recipe Directions for Ham, Swiss, and Shallot Pizza

  1. Heat oven to 425 F.

  2. Sprinkle a rimmed baking sheet with the cornmeal.

  3. Shape the dough into a 14-inch circle and place on the prepared baking sheet.

  4. Brush the dough with 1 tablespoon of the oil and bake until puffed and golden, 15 to 20 minutes.

  5. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, toss the 2 shallots cut into thin rings, 12 sprigs of fresh thyme, the remaining tablespoon of oil, and teaspoon each salt and pepper.

  6. Top the partially cooked dough with the ham, shallot mixture, and cheese.

  7. Bake until the crust is crisp and the cheese has melted, 12 to 15 minutes.
