A delicious Ham and spicy Chorizo pizza completely from scratch

Recipe Ingredients for Ham and spicy Chorizo pizza

150 grams Wheat Flour, White, Bread, Enriched
1 serving 1/2 fat mozzarella
1 serving Spicy Chorizo
2 grams Sea Salt
10 grams Olive Oil
2 grams Yeast
30 grams Tomatoes Plum Diced
1/8 medium raw Onion Red
1 serving black forest ham
90 grams Water

Recipe Directions for Ham and spicy Chorizo pizza

  1. Mix the flour, salt, yeast, oil and water in a bowl.

  2. Kneed the mixture for about 5-10 minutes then set aside in the bowl covered by cling film to rise until doubled in size.

  3. Soften a medium onion in a little olive oil for about 5 minutes, then add a couple of cloves of garlic roughly chopped and a tin of tomatoes and some herbs (oregano and basil are good). simmer until roughly reduced by 1/4 (about 10-15 minutes).

  4. Blitz the tomato sauce and put it in a sealed container as you'll only need a couple of tablespoons or so for one pizza. (It's great mixed in with pasta too). It'll keep for a couple of weeks in the fridge so long as the container you use is sterilised first.

  5. Back to the base. When the dough has doubled in size knock it back and make it back into a ball. Leave it on a floured surface for about 1/2 an hour to rise again.

  6. After the dough has risen again roll it out into a circle until it is about 12" across. Transfer it to a pre-heated pizza stone or tray and then spread a tablespoon or so of the tomato sauce over it rip the mozzarella into pieces and scatter them fairly evenly over the top then add the ham (cut into strips) and chorizo cut into rounds.

  7. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 200C for about 10-15 minutes or until the cheese has melted and it looks cooked.

  8. You can of course choose any toppings you like, I sometimes add sweetcorn. But this is the combination that goes down best with my kids.
