very tasty. I use brummel and brown because it tastes good and is low cal and fat, but any light margarine would do. Also you can use any reduced fat cheese to change up the flavors.

Recipe Ingredients for Ham and Mushroom Quiche

1 1/4 cups Heart Smart Bisquick
1/4 cup brummel and brown
2 tablespoons water, boiling
1 cup 4 cheese mexican reduced fat
1 cup lean ham
1 1/2 cups skim milk
3 eggs
1 teaspoon chopped fresh basil leaves
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
1 cup mushrooms

Recipe Directions for Ham and Mushroom Quiche

  1. Heat oven to 400°F. Spray 9-inch glass pie plate with cooking spray. In small bowl, stir Bisquick mix and margarine until blended. Add boiling water; stir vigorously until soft dough forms. Press dough on bottom and up side of pie plate, forming edge on rim of pie plate.

  2. Sprinkle cheese, sausage and onions over crust. In small bowl, beat milk and eggs with fork or wire whisk; stir in basil and red pepper. Pour into crust.

  3. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
