A delicious and incredibly rich recipe for Mac and Cheese. Excellent served with greens and chicken.

Recipe Ingredients for Ham Mac 'n Cheese

20 oz penne pasta
2 1/2 c diced ham
8 oz Gruyere
16 oz cheddar, white
8 oz cheddar
8 tbs butter
1/3 c flour
4 c whole milk
1 c 1% milk
2 tbs white pepper
1 tbs black pepper
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
2 tbs Grey Poupon dijon mustard
1 tsp rosemary

Recipe Directions for Ham Mac 'n Cheese

Cook the pasta. While that cooks dice your ham. Once the pasta is al dente, drain and rinse. In the pot, place the butter, flour, and spices. Bring to a simmer. Add the milk and ham and bring to a boil. Then add the cheese; be sure to save some for layering. Once thick and saucy, add the pasta. Place the pasta in a 13x9 baking dish, with a layer of cheddar in the middle and then put more cheddar and a lot of gruyere on top. Bake at 400 degrees for about 15-20 minutes. Let stand for about 5 min before serving.
