The beef stock is really mostly the leftover juice from making corned beef.

Recipe Ingredients for Ham and Cabbage Soup

10 1/2 cups beef stock
160 g Onion
100 g celery
1/2 cup pizza sauce
180 g ham
400 g cabbage
3/4 cups rice

Recipe Directions for Ham and Cabbage Soup

  1. Boil the first three ingredients with a ham bone and the ham attached to it for a long time. At least five hours. Add some more if you need to.

  2. Add everything else the last half hour. Don't forget to detatch meat attached to the bone.
