Recipe Ingredients for Ham and Butter Beans (ala Ada)

12 oz Naturals Uncured Ham
2 stalk, medium (7-1/2" - 8" long) Celery
1 cup Chicken Broth
3 1/2 cup Butter Beans, Organic
1/2 cup, chopped Onions
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Parsley, Dried

Recipe Directions for Ham and Butter Beans (ala Ada)

  1. chop the ham.

  2. slice the celery stalks.

  3. heat oil in dutch oven.

  4. saute onions in hot oil for 2 minutes.

  5. add celery and saute for 2 more minutes.

  6. add ham to pot and saute for 2 more minutes.

  7. While onion, celery, and ham are cooking, open and drain canned beans.

  8. season beans with sea salt and garlic powder.

  9. add beans, broth, and parsley to dutch oven.

  10. Optional: add a dash of cayenne pepper.

  11. Bring to a boil.

  12. turn heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes
