Great soup I make with left over broth from ham and green bean dinner. I add some healthy ingredients and it becomes its own meal. Serve with a crusty roll for dunking.

Recipe Ingredients for Ham and bean soup with spinach and tomatoes

8 cups broth, ham
1 cup ham, diced
14 1/2 oz tomatoes, diced, canned, drained
3 cups spinach, chopped
1 Beans, White, Mature Seeds, Canned
4 oz ditalini pasta, cooked

Recipe Directions for Ham and bean soup with spinach and tomatoes

IF you can not find ham broth, cook down a small piece of ham with bone for 2 hours. If less than 8 cups add water to equal. Cook Pasta according to directions on box. Drain and set aside. Heat broth , add spinach until wilted, then add remaining ingredients except pasta. Heat through. When ready to eat add pasta to your individual bowl according to your liking. I do not add pasta to pot of soup because it can get swelled and mushy. Nutritional value is incorrect. The beans are rated as snap peas and not white beans. I could not get it to put correct amount. It should be an additional 50 calories per serving then stated.
