Recipe Ingredients for ham and bean soup

454 g dried navy beans
1/2 onion
400 g ham
8 oz tomato sauce
8 cups water
3 cloves garlic
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
25 g celery
1 carrot

Recipe Directions for ham and bean soup

  1. add water and navy beans bring to boil and let stand for 1 hr.

  2. Dice onion, celery and carrot

  3. Add garlic, onion, celery, carrot ham, ham bone and spices to pot and bring to boil. Add tomato sauce Lower temp to simmer for 2 hr.

  4. Remove bay leaf

  5. eat.
