Includes soup beans, lentils, pinto beans, black eyed peas. Used leftover New Riegel ham.

Recipe Ingredients for ham and bean soup

1/2 cup great northern beans
1/3 cup lentils
1/2 cup pinto beans
1/3 cup black eyed peas
1/3 cup split peas
16 oz. ham
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Recipe Directions for ham and bean soup

  1. Soak beans covered in water for 12 hours.

  2. Add ham, salt, and pepper.

  3. Bring to boil.

  4. Reduce to low heat.

  5. Cook until tender.
