Stuffed cabbage rolls/casserole that lowers the fat using turkey. Since I don't add cheese to the mix, I did use Four Cheese Classico pasta sauce. You could lower the fat even further if you used a fat free pasta sauce!

Recipe Ingredients for Halupki CC style

2 cups rice
1 lb cabbage
1 onion
2 tbsp garlic powder
6 cups spaghetti sauce
1/2 lb 93% ground turkey

Recipe Directions for Halupki CC style

  1. Make rice according to usual directions.

  2. In separate pan, crumb turkey and cook. Add garlic powder and diced onion and continue to cook.

  3. Take largest leaves of cabbage, remove core portion and set aside. Shred remainder of your cabbage very fine.

  4. Mix rice, pasta sauce, shredded cabbage and turkey mix together.

  5. Stuff largest cabbage leaves set aside with mixture.

  6. Place remainder of mix in bottom of casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.
