Recipe Ingredients for Half & half cake recipe with out milk

4 medium Egg, Whole
300 grams Sugars, Granulated
1 1/5 cup Orange Juice
500 grams Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Unbleached
250 grams Butter
20 grams Cacao Powder
1 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder

Recipe Directions for Half & half cake recipe with out milk

  1. Put the butter inside a bowl and use the a mixer until it's soft and creamy

  2. Add the sugar and continue with the mixer until the mix is even.

  3. Add the eggs and continue with the mixer.

  4. Now comes the orange juice.

  5. And last but not least start adding the flour with the baging powder little by little until the mix is more on the puree side but still liquidy kind off.

  6. Take a cake tin (I have the big round one with a hole in the middle)

  7. and some butter and butter the walls (so the cake won't stick and comes out half) and pour in half of the mix.

  8. Then to add to the mix that is left the cocoa powder and mix again until it's evenly brownish like cocoa.

  9. Add the cocoa enriched mix to the tin.

  10. Add the tin to a preheated oven for about 50 min and at 180C and while you are doing so give it a kiss (don't touch the mix do it from afar) in order for it to bulge (it needs love!)

  11. Do not open the oven until after 45 mins because the bulge might fall but after that do it and stick a knife or a tooth pick inside the cake to check if it's ready.
