A tasty cold dish for all occasion. As a main dish, you can serve with non-fatty fishes, as well as other lean meats and pf course chicken and turkey. It is also suitable with long grain rice rather than potatoes when served as main dish and/or vegetarian dish.

Recipe Ingredients for Gumbo (ocra) in olive oil from Olga's Healthy Choice

440 g Cajun Gumbo
2 tbsp olive oil
250 g onion
200 g tomatoes
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 pinch of salt
1 pinch of pepper

Recipe Directions for Gumbo (ocra) in olive oil from Olga's Healthy Choice

  1. I can not find fresh Gumbos, so I use the canned ones.

  2. In a pan, roast chopped onion in olive oil. Add canned gumbos with tomatoes.

  3. No need extra water since you can use the canned gumbos.

  4. After simmering 15-20 minutes, remove the oan from the oven. When it is cooled off, add lemon juice and stir slowly. Then serve!

  5. Bonne appetite!
